When the brake command transmission is obstructed, every stop becomes a game of 'chance'. In the braking systems of Hitachi mining dump trucks, large excavators, and articulated trucks, the brake valve acts as the 'central nervous system' for command transmission. When the driver presses the brake pedal, when the autonomous driving system issues a brake command, or when an emergency requires instantaneous full-force braking—the brake valve must respond within milliseconds, accurately delivering compressed air or hydraulic fluid to each brake actuator, pushing the friction pads against the brake discs or drums. However, under extreme conditions such as mines, tunnels, or severe cold, ordinary brake valves suffer from stuck spools, fatigued springs, seal leaks, and delayed response—the braking distance increases, wheels lock up or veer, and emergency braking lacks sufficient force. Those failing brake valves make every deceleration unpredictable, turning every stop into a game of 'chance'. |

Hitachi Original Brake Valve — Delivering Every Brake Command with Millisecond-Level Response
The Hitachi original VALVE; BRAKE is a brake control component that integrates precision valve core machining, highly sensitive spring design, and multiple redundant structures. Under both manual operation and automatic control modes, it ensures the equipment decelerates safely according to instructions with the fastest response and the most precise pressure regulation. Precision Valve Core, Micron-Level Fit: The valve core and sleeve of the Hitachi original brake valve are paired with precision fit, with a clearance controlled at the micron level. This ensures smooth movement while minimizing internal leakage. The guiding part of the valve core undergoes special surface hardening and ultra-precision grinding, achieving mirror-level surface roughness and extremely low friction. Even after tens of thousands of reciprocating movements, it maintains a responsive operation without jamming due to wear. Dual-Circuit Design, Redundant Safety: For large mining vehicles, the Hitachi original brake valve often adopts a dual-circuit or multi-circuit structure. If one circuit fails, the remaining circuits can operate independently, providing sufficient braking force to ensure the vehicle stops safely. The manual operation brake circuit and the automatic brake circuit are connected in parallel or series through a high-pressure selector valve (spool valve), automatically supplying the higher pressure line to the brake actuator, achieving seamless switching between manual and automatic control. Accumulator Coordination, Rapid Pressure Build-Up: In hydraulic brake systems, the Hitachi original brake valve works in coordination with the first accumulator (manual operation circuit) and the second accumulator (automatic brake circuit). During normal braking, the high-pressure oil stored in the accumulator is quickly released to the brake sub-pump through the brake valve, achieving millisecond-level pressure build-up. During manual braking, the working oil supply system can replenish oil from the second accumulator to the first accumulator, effectively increasing accumulator capacity, suppressing slow braking pressure rise caused by pipeline pressure loss, and shortening the braking distance. |
