Worn or incorrectly fitted valve guides can cause excessive oil consumption, valve seat recession, compression loss, and potential valve breakage. Isuzu service manuals require that if a valve guide is removed, both the valve and the valve guide must be replaced with new ones as a set—used valves and guides must be discarded.During installation, engine oil must be applied to the valve guide outer circumference, and a valve guide installer must be used to drive the guide into position from the cylinder head upper face. Installing non-genuine or reused guides may void your Isuzu engine warranty. Choose genuine to restore factory-specified valve stem clearances and ensure long-term engine durability.
