The construction machinery industry shows signs of recovery

     In February this year, domestic sales of excavators showed a high growth rate of nearly doubling year-on-year, and the recovery trend of the construction machinery industry was obvious.

      "Looking forward to 2025, relevant national policies are expected to further drive the acceleration of investment in infrastructure and mining. At the same time, as the real estate industry gradually stops falling and stabilizes, it will have a promoting effect on the construction machinery industry. In addition, the large-scale equipment renewal policy has been deeply implemented, the degree of machinery replacing manual labor has deepened, and the resale of second-hand machines overseas has promoted the positive cycle in the circulation field. This series of factors will jointly promote the overall recovery of the construction machinery industry.

     Relevant persons from the China Construction Machinery Industry Association said that this year, my country's excavator sales have achieved a "good start". On the one hand, from January to February this year, domestic sales of excavators continued the growth trend in the second half of last year, especially since this year, with the effective implementation of the national stock policy and the introduction of a package of incremental policies. Under the influence of factors, the domestic excavator market has shown a positive trend of recovery. The demand for excavators below 20 tons has increased, and the sales volume has increased significantly, mainly due to factors such as large-scale equipment renewal policies and new rural construction. On the other hand, the global competitiveness of my country's construction machinery companies continues to improve, and export sales continue to grow on the basis of last year's high level.

     At the same time, since the beginning of 2025, different models of "shared leasing" economy of construction machinery have emerged in various places. Some are operating leases with the characteristics of community e-commerce, and some are leased instead of sold under the slogan of "renting an excavator and giving it away". In general, the new business model has achieved rapid expansion in scale in some regions, which has also driven the sales growth of construction machinery equipment.
