Single-Use Installation with Critical Torque Sequence
Exhaust studs are single-use components that must be replaced whenever the manifold is disturbed or if a leak is detected. Isuzu service procedures specify a precise two-stage torque sequence—typically a first pass to 15 N·m (11 lb ft) followed by a final pass to 30 N·m (22 lb ft)—and require all old gasket material to be thoroughly removed from the cylinder head sealing face before reassembly.
